response to a column of mine, a Concord Monitor reader wrote, “The Republicans
have always represented the interests of the 1 percent, the most conservative
billionaires.”
My
response, published on May 31, 2017, was as follows:
Let’s
see: Of the wealthiest Americans listed in the Forbes 400, the top six are
Democrats. Then comes two Republicans, and the last two are Democrats. The
reader does not live in the real world. He lives in the imaginary world painted by the
liberal media.
