Mr. Zuckerberg agreed to federal regulation of Facebook. And why not? The company can handle the extra costs, while some of its smaller competitors cannot. The
Jones Act of 1920 requires that goods shipped between U.S. ports be transported

costs are not obvious, so legislators make believe they don’t matter.
Over
half of the scientific studies relied on by the feds cannot be replicated. For
years, government has issued laws and regulations based on faulty scientific procedures,
especially regarding global warming. Good old reliable Uncle Sam.
In
1890, federal, state and local governments spent 6.2 percent of the GDP. Now, the
various U.S. governments are spending 35.5 percent of the GDP. But there’s room

knows what a success that was.
Before
committing mass murder at a school in Parkland, Florida, Nikolas Cruz had a
record of felonies as a public-school student in St. Paul, Minnesota. But he
was never arrested, because the school sought to avoid “the school-to-prison
pipeline” for troubled kids. It’s a good thing Cruz wasn’t sent to prison. That
could have led to a life of crime.
